About the host

Steph McGovern is a celebrated broadcaster and engineer. She began her career as an apprentice at Black & Decker, gaining hands-on experience in manufacturing and earning the prestigious Arkwright Engineering Scholarship for her outstanding talent.

Steph later combined her technical expertise with journalism, earning a degree in Science Communication and becoming an award-winning BBC business correspondent. Her work covered major developments in industry and skills, shaping her passion for the topics explored in Steph on Skills.
