We provide the Government with a trusted source of SME and supply chain insight, ensuring skills and policies are responsive to sector needs.
By convening stakeholders, sharing intelligence, and advocating for practical solutions, we help shape policy, strengthen the industrial base, and support a productive, innovative, and future-ready UK engineering and manufacturing sector.
How we deliver it
To help shape policies that will drive SME and supply chain sustainability and economic growth, we:
- Ensure SME and supply chain priorities are reflected in policy development, using consultations and other engagement mechanisms to gather insights
- Convene sector and SME networks to co-design solutions, test ideas and address emerging challenges, to drive change
- Provide robust data briefings, intelligence reports and analysis, supported by a data collection service, including SME surveys and targeted research
- Distil key findings into concise, actionable briefings that inform policymakers and stakeholders
- Translate SME and supply chain perspectives into evidence-based policy recommendations, advising on systems, processes, and interventions that strengthen the sector.
